Teddy Bear’s Picnic

Families with young children are invited to join the Museum for a mining teddy bear’s picnic on May Day for fun and games. Teddy’s are welcome to come along dressed as miners; if they wish they can wear flat caps, neck scarfs, waistcoats or trousers with string tied below the knees! Teddy’s and their carers can follow trails to find teddy’s friends, join in songs, games and other fun. The activity will be finished off in true picnic style with jam sandwiches and squash! Meanwhile the Museum will be open for guided tours as normal.
