An exciting, interactive, fully-guided tour on the site of Cleveland’s first ironstone mine

Cleveland Ironstone Mining Museum stands on the site of the first ironstone mine in Cleveland and offers visitors the chance to experience life underground as a miner. The museum is fully guided so please allow at least an hour and a half for your visit.

Opens for Season: 12th February

Monday to Friday: 11am - 3:30pm
Saturday: 1pm - 3:30pm
Last Tour leaves at 3:30pm

Organised groups or school visits all year by arrangement.

Annual Passes provide free entry for a museum tour for the maximum number of persons specified until a year from the date issued. Annual Passes are not valid for events or exhibitions where an additional charge is made. An original till receipt must be attached - photocopies are not accepted.
